Built-In Accessibility Tools

The accessibility widget (bottom-left corner of every page) lets you instantly activate one of five profiles or adjust text size. Your settings are saved in your browser — no account needed.

Seizure-Safe Profile

Removes flashing content, reduces motion and animations across the site.

Vision-Impaired Profile

Maximizes contrast, increases font weight, and enhances focus indicators.

ADHD-Friendly Profile

Suppresses visual distractions, reduces animations, and simplifies layout contrast.

Dyslexia-Friendly Profile

Switches to a high-legibility typeface and increases letter and line spacing.

Keyboard Navigation Profile

Enhances visible focus outlines and skip-link visibility for keyboard-only users.

Text Size Control

Scale all text from 90% to 150% of the default size — your preference is saved automatically.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance across the entire website.

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some content does not fully meet the standard. Known limitations are listed below.

Technical Approach

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-focusable and operable
  • ARIA labels and roles where native semantics are insufficient
  • Color contrast ratios meet or exceed 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text
  • Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
  • All form fields have associated labels
  • Skip-to-content link available on keyboard navigation
  • Language attribute set correctly on all pages (lang="en" / lang="es" / lang="tl")
  • No content flashes more than 3 times per second

Known Limitations

  • Embedded YouTube videos use the YouTube player interface, which is not under our direct control. YouTube's own accessibility varies by browser and assistive technology.
  • The photo gallery lightbox is not fully optimized for all screen reader workflows. We are working to improve this.
  • Google Maps embeds (clinic location pages) are provided by Google. Map interactions may have limited screen reader support.
  • The homepage hero includes a silent, muted, decorative background video (no audio track, no dialogue, no meaningful information). Under WCAG 1.2.2, captions are not applicable to media without audio content. The video is marked aria-hidden so assistive technology ignores it, and the Seizure-Safe accessibility profile hides it entirely to satisfy WCAG 2.2.2 (pause/stop/hide mechanism).
