We also perform gentle teeth cleaning to expertly rid the mouth of harmful plaque buildup. Because kids are at notoriously high risk for developing cavities, we offer periodic fluoride therapy and the placement of dental sealants as an additional layer of protection. Topical fluoride has been used by dentists for decades and is clinically proven to reduce the risk for developing cavities. Our dental sealants are applied to the back molars when they come in, typically around the ages of 6 and 12. Dental sealants are placed over the deep grooves of the back teeth, smoothing over crevices where bacteria can accumulate and contribute to tooth decay.
